The Minnesota Ballet School welcomes dedicated dancers aiming to enhance their technique and artistry through the study of classical variations and the intricacies of the Vaganova Method. This special program caters to young dancers seeking immersion in the details of classical ballet variations. The curriculum features daily classes in classical technique, pointe technique, and intensive study of renowned solo choreographies from ballet history. It presents a valuable opportunity for those preparing for successful performances at ballet competitions. Please note that participation in this Intensive does not guarantee a place in the current MBS season competition team, although now is the ideal time for such an assessment.
Open to ALL! Registration is strictly limited to ensure a personalized experience.

The Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) is one of the most prestigious and renowned international ballet competitions. It provides young dancers with a platform to showcase their talent, receive valuable feedback from esteemed professionals, and gain exposure to potential opportunities in the world of ballet.
Here are some key features and aspects of the YAGP competition:
Registration for the YAGP competition will open on July 1st!
Be aware that YAGP often have limited spots avilable and can fill up quickly due to their popularity. Therefore, it is recommended to register as early as possible in order to secure your place in the competition. Participation in the YAGP competition is for participants aged 9 and over. Our program is designed to provide dancers with the necessary training and support to shine on stage. This year, we have exciting updates to enhance they journey towards competition success. We will begin by dividing participants into different groups based on age, solo, or group categories for practicing in beginning of September, just before the start of the Nutcracker season. Continuation of the private training program starting in December.

Last year our school had a very good experience in Kansas City, MO.
Building on that success, we are excited to announce that this year's competition in this location will take place from February 15th to 18th.
However, we understand that scheduling conflicts can arise,
and the provided dates may not work for everyone.
Therefore, we offer the flexibility to select any other suitable
competition date or location that works best for you.
