Join us for a family egg hunt! It’s time to mark your calendar for Minnesota Ballet Theatre & School Spring event! This free, fun family event is great for all ages. Egg Hunt with candy and prizes. Meet and dance with Bunny-Ballerina. Photo booth. Your children will love the search for colorful eggs filled with treasures at our Annual Easter Egg Hunt! Be sure to bring your Easter basket and your bunny smiles! This event will be outside. Masks required and social distancing encouraged. Recommended for families with children 9 and under. Make sure to sign up to reserve your spot. We will close registration when we reach our capacity limit.  FREE, Donations welcomed and appreciated.

Join Peter Rabbit and his animal friends in the garden. With catchy music and adorable characters, dancers will learn dances from our original ballet based on the works of author Beatrix Potter will have your little one hoppin’ and boppin’ all spring!

Enjoy pure Vaganova Syllabus Ballet Classes, that covers the fundamentals of Ballet technique using simple combinations that allow students to focus on perfecting their technique, musicality, and movement.

Youth Classes

Minnesota Ballet School offers a classical ballet program that provides preparatory and systematic ballet training using Vaganova Syllabus, a comprehensive curriculum, proven to instill in dancers incomparable technique, while striving for a greater sense of artistry, clarity, grace, athleticism, speed and musicality. 

All Summer Programs have In-Person options. For dancers who are unable to take in person classes, we are also offering a via ZOOM option.

Summer Intensive

This 2-week program dedicated to explore the demands of deep classical ballet education and a professional career. You’ll be introduced to the world known ballet’s repertory while studying technique, pointe, pas de deux, batterie, contemporary dance, and conditioning.

Art & Craft Camps

Ballet Art and Craft camps is always a sure favorite with kids who artistically

inclined or not. Children will have fun to learn dances from MBS repertoire and

creating variety of projects us magic wand, wings, crown or little tutu’s that will be used in dances they learn.

Minnesota Ballet School

(formerly Academy of Russian Ballet), was established in 2001 by co-directors Kirill Bak-Stepanoff and Svetlana Bak-Gavrilova, graduates of the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia — one of the most prestigious ballet schools in the world. Throughout their career, they toured and performed as soloists in many countries across Europe, then settled in Minnesota. Through Kirill and Svetlana, Minnesota Ballet School has inherited centuries of ballet experience and the best ballet teaching methodologies.

Performances

Each year, students have an opportunity to participate in Minnesota Ballet Theatre’s performances such as The Nutcracker, Halloween Adventure, Carnival of the Animals and Peter & the Wolf. These opportunities create a great way for the young dancers to excel and discover the wonderful world of theatre.
