The Pre-Professional Day Program at Minnesota Ballet School is designed for dedicated young dancers who are ready to take the next step toward advanced ballet training and a professional ballet pathway.
Based on the world-renowned Vaganova Method and led by Vaganova Academy graduates, this intensive daytime program provides focused training in classical ballet technique, pointe, repertoire, conditioning, and performance preparation.
Students receive individualized guidance in a disciplined and supportive environment while developing the technical excellence, artistry, strength, and professionalism required for future opportunities in ballet.
With approximately 11 hours of weekly training, the program is ideal for serious dancers who want to balance academics with intensive ballet education, including students who are homeschooled or have flexible academic schedules.
Students also have opportunities to gain valuable stage experience through Minnesota Ballet Theatre productions.

Continue the Professional Journey
Students completing advanced training at Minnesota Ballet School may have opportunities to continue their development through Minnesota Ballet Theatre, gaining additional performance experience and professional preparation.
Admission to the Pre-Professional Day Program is by audition only.
Applicants may audition through in-person evaluation or video submission.

The Pre-Professional Day Program at Minnesota Ballet School is a transitional training program designed for dedicated dancers who are preparing to advance from intensive student training toward professional ballet opportunities.
Based on the Vaganova Method, the program provides aspiring dancers with advanced classical ballet training, individualized guidance, performance experience with Minnesota Ballet Theatre productions, and preparation for auditions for professional ballet schools, companies, and collegiate dance programs.
