General Information

Mark your calendars for Nutcracker Picture Day on Wednesday, November 27! This is a wonderful chance for dancers to showcase their Nutcracker roles in beautiful individual and group photos, creating cherished memories of this year’s production.

Details:

Location: Minnesota Ballet School
Who: Pre-Ballet 1-2, Pre-Ballet Advanced, and Ballet Levels 1-6
Time: 4:30-7:00pm
Attire: Dancers should arrive with hair and makeup fully done, wearing nude leotards, along with tights and appropriate shoes.

Additional Information:

Linhoff Photo Company will be managing the photoshoot.
Please arrive on time and be ready, as this helps us stay on schedule and capture the best images.
Both digital and print photos will be available for purchase, though purchasing is optional.

If I am not ordering photos do I need to be there?

We would love for you to join us for the group shots! Your presence ensures you’re included in the Nutcracker small and big group pictures, capturing these special moments together. Please make sure to attend!

What do they need to wear?

All Levels: Dancers should arrive fully prepared, wearing:

Nude leotard, ballet tights, ballet shoes or pointe shoes (depending on their level and role)

What do they do with their hair?

Long hair should be tightly pulled back into a bun, with no loose strands. We recommend using gel and hairspray for a clean, polished look.

Do they need to wear makeup?

Light makeup is encouraged to enhance features on camera. Consider using a bit of blush, mascara, etc.

Do Parents come in?

Due to limited space, only parents of the current time slot are permitted in the lobby. Please note, only dancers and staff will be allowed in the photography area. This helps us keep the schedule moving smoothly, creating a calm environment for everyone.

What costume and how many I can choose for individual picture?

For individual pictures, each dancer can choose one costume from their assigned Nutcracker roles.

Can I order Print ?

Photos will be available for purchase as both print and digital formats.

Is pre-register required?

Yes, pre-registration is required.
