Summer Youth Programs

Ballet Art & Craft Camps – Ages 4–7

Ballet Art & Craft Camps at Minnesota Ballet School are a magical experience for children of all interests, whether your little one is naturally artistic or just loves to move and play. Campers will enjoy:

Learning dances – gentle, age-appropriate ballet routines designed to build confidence, coordination, and a love for dance.
Creative arts & crafts projects – children will make fun items such as magic wands, fairy wings, crowns, and miniature tutus. These creations will be incorporated into their dances, making each performance uniquely theirs.
Mini performance for parents – on the last day of camp, children will proudly showcase what they’ve learned in a charming mini recital for family and friends.

Dress Code:

Girls: Pink tights, pink leotard, pink ballet shoes.
Boys: White T-shirt, black tights, white socks, and white or black ballet shoes.

Every day is filled with imagination, creativity, and movement – a perfect introduction to the joy of ballet and arts & crafts!

Princess Ballet Camp

Step into a world of royal magic! In Princess Ballet Camp, children will:

Learn ballet dances inspired by beloved princess stories, developing confidence, coordination, and a love for movement.
Create magical arts & crafts, including crowns, wands, and mini tutus to enhance their dances.
Play princess-themed games to spark imagination and joy.
Perform for family and friends in a charming mini recital on the last day, showcasing all they’ve learned.

Moana Ballet Camp

Dive into a tropical adventure! In Moana Ballet Camp, children will:

Learn ballet dances inspired by ocean waves and island rhythms, encouraging creativity and joyful movement.
Craft ocean-themed accessories, such as seashell crowns, wands, and flowing costume pieces to use in their dances.
Play island-inspired games to spark imagination and fun.
Perform for family and friends in a mini recital on the last day, celebrating both dance and crafts.

Mini Nutcracker Ballet Camp

Step into the magic of the Nutcracker! In Mini Nutcracker Ballet Camp, children will:

Learn ballet dances inspired by the Nutcracker story, introducing them to classical ballet in a playful way.
Create festive crafts, including tutus, wands, crowns, and wings to incorporate into their dances.
Play Nutcracker-themed games to spark imagination and joy.
Perform for family and friends in a mini recital on the last day, showing off their newly learned skills.

Pre-Ballet Summer Programs

PRE-BALLET 1 (ages 3–4)

This 45-minute class is perfect for young dancers looking to continue their training through the summer in a fun and engaging environment. Designed to develop large motor skills, the class introduces basic dance steps such as skipping, chassés, and pony steps. Students will also work on rhythm, timing, and coordination through structured movement activities. Classes are held once per week, with two convenient schedule options.

PRE-BALLET 2 (ages 5–8)

In this class, students continue to build on foundational dance skills while developing large motor coordination. The curriculum includes skipping, chassés, and stretching, with a growing emphasis on leg and arm positions, coordination, and listening skills.
Classes are held once per week, offering two convenient schedule options.
