Join us at Minnesota Ballet School's annual Open House! Meet our talented teachers, tour our facility, observe and try free in-progress classes, and register your child for the upcoming season. Don't miss this opportunity to receive FREE ballet shoes when you register at the Open House (new clients only).

General Information
Picture Days Information:
- Dates: May 4th (Ballet 2-6 levels) and May 14th (All Pre-Ballet and Ballet 1 levels)
- Location: Minnesota Ballet School
- Fees: Group Digital Print $15, Individual Digital Print $25
Important Details:
- All pictures must be pre-ordered.
- This is our first year organizing this event, so your patience and support are greatly appreciated!
- Please note that the schedule is tentative; adjustments may occur.
Picture Day at MBS:
- All dancers' classes are required to come to the studio fully prepared, including wearing full costumes, hair, and makeup.
- Individual and group pictures will be taken, and you have the option to purchase them.
- Remember, there's no obligation to purchase the photos.

Pre-Ballet & Ballet 1 Level
Please ensure your dancer arrives with their hair and Spring Gala costume on for the picture day. Makeup is optional. If your dancer has short hair, they may wear it half up, half down, or all down as needed. Individual and group class pictures will be available for purchase. Please note that the schedule is tentative, so it's essential to be prepared for any adjustments. Thank you for your cooperation!
Ballet 2-6 Level
All dancers in levels 2 and up are required to adhere to the class attire and have a nude leotard. Picture day begins immediately after class. Makeup is optional. Both individual and group class pictures will be available for purchase.

We would love for you to join us for the group shots! Your presence ensures that you're included in the class picture. Please make sure to attend.
Pre-Ballet & Ballet 1 Level: Full Costume , shoes & hair.
** Please come ready to go in costume
Ballet 2-6: Class attire and nude leotard.
Please make sure your hair is tightly pulled back into a bun if it's long enough, with no hair falling onto the face. Gel and hairspray are recommended for a neat look. If your dancer's costume includes hairpiece accessories, please incorporate them accordingly.
We highly recommend light makeup to enhance their appearance on camera! Consider using blush, mascara, etc. However, makeup is optional, and the choice is entirely up to you.
We kindly request that only parents of each level's designated time slot wait in the lobby due to limited space. Only dancers and staff should enter the photography area. It can be challenging to photograph groups of young people in limited time, as some may feel shy or anxious while others may become rowdy. Additional distractions like parents and other cameras can undermine our efforts. This will help us stay on schedule and capture the best pictures for you! Don't forget to drop off your dancer with their costume already on. Thank you for helping us capture the best pictures possible!
At the moment, you can only order digital prints.
Yes, pre-registration is required. If you'd like to participate in the group shot without purchasing pictures, please make sure to register online before picture day. This service is provided free of charge.
